(NEP) 2020 for foundational and secondary stage education.
Held on 24th and 25th April, 2025, this educational convention was helmed by Mrs. Nidhi
Srivastava, a staff member of the junior section from Loreto Convent Intermediate College
and trained in foundational literacy and numeracy techniques. A workshop was conducted
by her last year as well to familiarize teachers with the key features, objectives and
implementation strategies mentioned in the FLN of NEP 2020.
Focussing on enhancing the teachers’ understanding of the Foundational Literacy and
Numeracy principles and guidelines, the two-day workshop emphasized the importance of
holistic learning and developing students' cognitive, social, ethical, and emotional capacities
in parallel.

learners and cater to their diverse learning needs. It also equipped them with practical tools
and resources to enhance their teaching practices. Provided with a platform to interact and
collaborate, the enthusiasm of all the educators was palpable as they engaged in group
activities and shared their best practices and experiences to deepen their understanding of
the pedagogical processes. To name a few, the activities Observe and Absorb, Word Ladder
and Mute Movements infused the participants with joy and energy leading to impactful
learning.

expressed their gratitude for such an opportunity. Resolved and committed to
implementing their learnings ahead, they would enable their students to do their best by
realizing their potential.
