Description:
"If there is magic on this planet it is contained in water."- Loren Eisely
Concurring with these words, the students of the junior section at St. Agnes' Loreto Day School painted a plethora of experiences and learnings on the canvas of their heart and mind as they celebrated Blue Day on 21st July, 2023.
Attired in blue, their faces gleamed with gratitude as their teachers apprised them with the innumerable blessings water or the life giving element on our planet showers on us.
The little ones from classes nursery, prep, l and ll added colours with their zest and fervour to this colourless liquid and ushered hope for abundant showers ahead as they spun their magic wand and created rain clouds, bubbles on plates and splashed joy with rainbow jars and harmony of water and colours on paper.
Apt for their age, a solemn display of their duty and responsibility as world citizens of tomorrow was observed through the demonstrations of the students of classes III, IV and V. Resolute to build a safe and sustainable environment for our planet, they impressed upon the need to spread awareness around for saving every drop of water. Through their confident presentations on rain cycle, hazards of water pollution and the simple yet effective methods to clean and store water, the young Agnesians left all deeply impressed and assured of our tomorrow in able and promising hands.
"Teaching children about the natural world should be treated as one of the most important events in their lives." Thomas Berry.
