Description:
The Athletics Club of St. Agnes' Loreto Day School hosted an Inter-school basketball tournament for girls, Tournoi de Basket, as a part of the Sesquicentennial Jubilee of Loreto's presence in Lucknow, from the 18th of October to the 20th of October which witnessed an overwhelming participation from some of the most prominent schools of Lucknow including La Martniere Girls' College, Montfort Inter College, CMS Station Road, Mount Carmel College, Loreto Convent Intermediate College, St. Paul's College and Stella Maris.
Out of the 8 teams that had participated, the hardline match was played between Loreto Convent and La Martiniere Girls' College where the former secured the 3rd place and the latter secured the 4th. In the final match Mount Carmel College completed against St. Agnes' Loreto Day School, with St. Agnes' emerging as the unsurpassed champion attaining a stellar victory with a score of 34 against 6 in its favour.
The games were a resounding success where the acrobatic dexterity and unmatched deftness of the young players yielded resounding applause from the audience. These young basketball enthusiasts indeed enthralled all with their expertise and spirit of sportsmanship.
